Heavy lift cargo are indivisible items weighing over a ton up to over a thousand tons and have widths and/or heights that exceed 100 meters. Special safety of vehicles, vessels and equipment are required, so we ensure effective transportation of these items via Land, Air or Sea.
When shipping items by sea, crane vessels or crane ships may be utilized as well as barges or other heavy lift vessels. Flo-flo vessels are also an option. These are semi-submerging vessels that can be slightly submerged to allow another floating structure to be loaded onto the vessel.
For moving large or heavy freight by land, flat bed and heavy haul trucks or trailers are utilized. In the U.S., cargo that exceeds load limits require permits that vary by state. Moving heavy cargo by land also requires special escort vehicles that are arranged by shipper or freight forwarder.
